In Greek mythology, Athena poped out of Zeus’s skull fully armed. She is known as the goddess of war, goddess of peace, noted for being compassionate and generous. She was a patron of the arts and crafts. She was also known as the goddess of wisdom. She guarded Athens and was even know to be concerned with fertility. Athena was a strong and well rounded woman.
I am too. I am a native born Texan. I come from a long legacy of strong Texas women. I have two siblings who are both great friends. My parents are the best. (though my mom now is a citizen of heaven) I grew up “where the west began.” Went to a small Baptist university and achieved a master’s degree from a small methodist University. I have a super husband who works hard so I can stay home with Butch, Sundance and Baby (not their real names, I do have some creativity). I am a committed Christian. I became a Christian at an early age and have not strayed far from it. I also became a Democrat at an early age and here I am in the 49% minority. I am a teacher by profession and by hobby. I can’t seem to stop teaching something. I am always teaching my kids.

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
