Honey and I have the same birthday. As we have been married 10 years and dated for two years, I have had to share my birthday. I exactly mind sharing but I think he does not work so hard to make it special since it is his special day too. I know I sometimes don’t make his as special.
Maybe we need to just alternate which year we get to be the “main” birthday person. When my mom was alive, she always made birthday’s special. My sister is good at making them special so I will just rely on her. I know she has sent me a package and I can’t wait to see it.
Tonight the boys made me some puff balls and homemade cards at church. My closest friend is their Wednesday night teacher so I think they were prompted.
I got some cards from the older ladies at church and from my insurance agent. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s mail contains.

Birthdays were always special in my family and I married into a family where if you get a happy birthday you were lucky. It has been an adjustment. But I just keep on keeping on.
Praying that these days following your birthday will bring you special blessings.

I forgot you guys share a birthday. John and I are only a few days apart so we have similar issues. Plus we are both January birthdays so everyone, including us, is broke when our b-days roll around. What are you going to do? Birthdays just stop being as fun when you get older.
I almost called y’all Saturday to see if you could be spontaneous and meet us for lunch. Let’s do it soon!

Happy belated Birthday!

Happy belated birthday! Triss’ birthday is Sept. 25th too, and Mariel’s is Sept. 24th. We have national birthday week, and sometimes it even goes into national birthday month. We try to celebrate on the person’s actual day, and then also have a time to celebrate with my parents, and a time for the child to celebrate with a friend or a few friends (which we all like to be involved in as well). So we eat a lot of cake in September, and into October.
Perhaps you and Honey could each have a special day around your birthday that is just for you. (Even when the girls were little and we had joint birthday parties, each girl got to pick her own cake.)
